Elite Pond Covers, a successful business operating out of West London recently asked Premier Galvanizing for help and reassurance on an intricate artistic pond cover they had been asked to supply to a client.

In the past when Elite Pond Covers needed to galvanize such structures the outcome was not always to there satisfaction, items were either bent, mislaid or just poor quality, however since becoming a customer of Premier Galvanizing at the start of the year they have suffered no such issues.

The pictures demonstrate the high quality of galvanizing being produced by Premier Galvanizing and there commitment to there customers regardless of the fabrications that need galvanizing.

Following a frantic phonecall from one of our South Yorkshire fabricators, Premier Galvanizing were asked to collect and galvanize 2No 4 tonne plinths and have them galvanized and onsite the following day.

Fortunatley for our client the 4 tonne plate fabrications were well within our capabilities. Thanks to ongoing reinvestment in our plant equipment the recently upgraded cranes coped admirably.

As can be seen from the pictures above these 4 tonne fabrications needed to be handled carefully and required galvanizing to the stringent standards expected from the railway industry.

Once galvanized Premier Galvanizing delivered the fabrications on one of the artic vehicles to our fabricators end client. The end client was delighted that Premier Galvanizing had once again maintained there excellent standard of work and service.

There was smoke, swamps to wade through, ditches to climb in and out of, cargo nets to crawl under, hills to summit and waist deep streams to navigate.

There was also the mud to contend with lots and lots of mud. The mud got stickier and deeper as the day went on.

Justin and Alex got away fairly lightly as they both completed the 12k course in under 1 hr 13 minutes, however Alison and her brother who escorted her around the course didnt fair quite so well as can be seen in the photo above.

A great day was had by all on a very challenging course

Following an inquiry from a long standing customer in East Yorkshire, a site visit was carried out by Alex Camp from Premier Galvanizing to understand the needs of the customer on this very prestigious project

Upon inspection of the drawings it was evident that the items would be to wide for the local plant in Hull. After much discussion it was agreed that the items be galvanized at Premier Galvanizing Corby, this would enable the customer receive the Premier Service they were used to all be it from another branch.

After many years successfully galvanizing a smaller version of these blockers, Alex understood the need for these wider items to be dipped in a certain way. Alex Camp, the Operations Manager from Hull and a shift supervisor travelled to Corby to discuss and supervise the dipping of the first two wedges and boxes. The customer was delighted that Premier Galvanizing would take this much trouble just to alleviate their worries on this high profile job

Each wedge and box had a combined weight of 2 tonnes and the dipping angle was crucial to minimise the effects of distortion as well as give the best possible finish to the product.

The journey down south was most definitely worth it as this extra assistance and personal touched helped Premier Galvanizing secure the contract for a further 48 tonnes despite strong competition from others.

The magnifcent doors at Ripon Cathedral have recently been renovated and an electrical opening system has been installed.

In order for the system to be put in place a steel frame needed to be fabricated and galvanized in order to facillitate the alterations to the magnificent doors.

The doors at the Cathedral are nearly 450 years old and an opportunity had a risen thanks to lottery funding to install the new electric system.

Minster Engineering called Premier Galvanizing Hull to seek advice, there were concerns regarding distortion and handling issues, as it was critical the the steel frame remained straight.

By recieveing a visit by one of the expert team from Premier Galvanizing and recieving advice on hanging points these fears were quickly allievated. Minster Engineering and Premeir Galvanizing organized a time schedule of works which enabled the large 4.5m x 2m frames to be dropped off dipped and recollected all in the same day.

As usual at Premier Galvanizing the job went to plan.

Premier Galvanizing were recently successful in securing the contract for galvanizing the steelwork, internal steelwork and the security fencing for the new rhino enclosure at Woburn Safari Park

Following negotiations with Barretts of Aspley Premier Galvanizing secured the contract because of the reliability and trust built up between the two companies over a number of years.

Prior to commencement on the project a member of the Premier Galvanizing team visited the drawing office to discuss ventillation and drainage points. Of upmost importance to the client was the need for clean surfaces as any sharp edges may damage the animals.

Premier Galvanizing offered the full package, material was collected from Bedford, galvanized and delivered onwards to site. Despite the tight turnarounds and schedule of works Premier Galvanizing hit every delivery date without fail.

By listening to the advice from Premier Galvanizing Corby, the customer recieved a top class product, fit for the magnificent animals that will be housed within there new home and their outside fenced off area.
